Taba – located on the east coast of the Sinai peninsula

Taba is the perfect resort for couples and families who enjoy peace and tranquillity. If you enjoy beach holidays with beach activities then this is definitely the resort that you should visit. The transfer time for this resort is around 50 minutes from Taba airport. This gives you plenty of time to look around at the scenery and gain an understanding of the location of the resort as well as the location of the accommodation within the resort. The beach in Taba is very long and covered with golden sand that leads down to the water. It is the perfect location for a lazy day of sunbathing. The hotels in Taba are mainly 4-5-star and offer all-inclusive or half board options. All have the facilities and services that you would expect.

Taba – plenty of beach based activities to choose from

Taba is home to some brilliant water sports which can be found at the beach. These include windsurfing, snorkelling, scuba diving, surfing, jet-skiing and water-skiing. If you prefer to stay on dry land, then why not try quad biking, tennis, golf or even excursions to nearby towns or desert tours. As well as this, there are plenty of excursions to go on. These include trips to other resorts such as Dahab or Sharm El Sheikh, visiting the Pharoah\'s Island Castle, the Ras Mohammed national park or two day trips to Cairo or Jerusalem.

Taba – most cuisines can be found in the hotels

Most of the food in Taba can be found in hotel restaurants. You will find many different cuisines such as Egyptian, Italian, Japanese, Indian, Chinese and British. There are also a few restaurants around the resort but most people choose to eat in their hotels. Many of the hotels put on evening entertainment programmes including dances and music although there are also a choice of bars and a casino for you to choose from. Most of the shops are in the hotels and they sell the usual souvenirs. Many of the shops also offer beach wear as the beach is a popular place to go in Taba. There are no public buses in Taba however there are plenty of taxis.

Taba – brilliant summer temperatures

Taba benefits from daily warm weather, which is perfect as it is a well known beach resort. During the summer, temperatures can be as high as 43°C during the day and drop to 7°C at night. The average minimum temperature in the winter is 14°C and in the summer it is 30°C although it can reach a lot higher than this. There is little rainfall in the resort and when it does rain it normally clears up very quickly. June, July and August are the warmest months in Taba with December being the coldest. However, December still occasionally gets a high of 20.5°C.
