San Agustin - Located on the South coast of Gran Canaria

San Agustin is a quiet, relaxing resort, popular among families and couples looking for a romantic getaway. The transfer time to San Agustin is around 25 minutes so you have plenty of time within your resort. The beach is linked to Playa del Ingles and is filled with golden sands and clear waters. There are many sun loungers and parasols, however these do go very quickly in peak times. There are many hotels in the resort ranging from 3-5-stars. They offer all-inclusive holidays, but you will also find some accommodations offering a self-catering board basis.

San Agustin – plenty of activities to choose from

If you enjoy being active during the day then San Agustin is definitely the resort for you. The beaches and swimming pools all have a great number of activities and entertainment on offer as well as horse-riding, mountain biking, skating, golf and tennis. Water parks and amusement parks are also near which are very popular with families. Water sports are available at the beach including swimming, windsurfing, scuba diving, snorkelling and jet-skiing. Excursions are also available to places such as the Camel Safari park or even the crocodile park. A trip to Las Palmas is recommended for the best shops in Gran Canaria.

San Agustin – plenty to choose from

San Agustin is home to quite a few restaurants although you are likely to find many more in Playa del Ingles. You will find plenty of cuisines between the two resorts such as Italian, Indian, Chinese and English. There is a casino in the resort as well as a few bars. Although Playa del Ingles is even better and offers more. There is a lot of live entertainment and live music in many of the bars as well as karaoke and cocktails. There are a few shops in the resort with clothing, jewellery and souvenirs, but there is mainly supermarkets. The public transport in San Agustin is brilliant. There are regular buses taking into coastal resorts, including Las Palmas. There are also many taxis which offer cheap fares to other resorts.

San Agustin – warm temperatures throughout the year

San Agustin is located in the south, meaning it sees the best of the weather. It is very dry and hot in San Agustin with very little rainfall. The summer temperatures are around 28°C in August and September, with January and February still reaching over 22°C. There is rarely any rain in the south as it is so warm and dry. The north will see most of the rain, however the winds from the north do sweep down to the south, however this is welcomed as it keeps the temperatures stable. The rain normally falls between December and February but you still tend to get around 7 hours of sunshine a day. In the summer you will get around 12 hours of sunshine a day so there is plenty of time to have fun in the sun.
