Playa Blanca - Located on the South coast of Lanzarote

Playa Blanca is a quiet resort suited to couples and families who enjoy relaxing and taking walks. The transfer time from the airport is around 45 minutes so you can get an understanding of the location of the resort when travelling. There is quite a lot of accommodation for you to choose from including apartments and hotels. Most of the hotels range from 2-5-stars and you can get any board basis from self-catering in the apartments to all-inclusive in the hotels. The beach is small but is popular amongst tourists during the summer. There is a beach with fine, white sands and shallow waters.

Playa Blanca – a very relaxing resort

Playa Blanca offers trips to Fuerteventura daily. You can experience shops and a livelier resort as you come into Corralejo. There are also many water sports for you to try such as windsurfing, scuba diving and snorkelling. There is plenty of space for you to sunbathe in the resort and plenty of island tours for you to try. One brilliant excursion that you should try is the Timanfaya National Park. This is where you can see the true volcanic landscape of Lanzarote, take a camel ride around the area, have a meal and watch the geysers. Quad bikes are very popular and are also a good way of getting round the resort.

There are plenty of restaurants for you to choose from offering Chinese, Italian, British, German and Canarian. You will also find a lot of seafood restaurants, as well as some fast food restaurants. There are also a lot of bars with sports, karaoke, live music and cabaret shows. Some of the bars stay open until late so you can dance and enjoy yourself for longer. Along the harbour, you will find many shops with clothes, jewellery and souvenirs. It is recommended to hire a car when visiting Playa Blanca although there is the occasional bus taking you into Arrecife.

Playa Blanca – perfect summer weather

Playa Blanca is located in the south, meaning it sees the best of the weather. It is very dry and hot in Playa Blanca with very little rainfall. The summer temperatures are around 28°C in June, July and August, with January and February still reaching over 20°C. There is rarely more than 16 days of rain and when it does rain, it is cleared up very quickly. The rain normally falls between December and February but you still tend to get around 7 hours of sunshine a day.
