Los Gigantes - On the West coast of Tenerife

Los Gigantes is a small, village like resort that is perfect for people wanting to spend their holiday relaxing. However, with the flights coming in and leaving from the south of the island, the transfer time is greatly increased. You would now have a transfer time of around 1 and a half hours. One of the best sights of Los Gigantes is the lava formed cliffs near the marina. Families are normally attracted to Los Gigantes as it is quiet, relaxing and calm. Los Gigantes does not get very crowded and children are very safe within the resort.

The resort of Los Gigantes does have some activities to keep people occupied during the day. There are water sports available such as scuba diving where you can hire the equipment and have full tuition when you are in the water. Whale and dolphin boat trips are also available and are very popular. For those of you who enjoy sports, there is a sports centre with tennis courts for you to try and most of the accommodation have swimming pools as well. If you enjoy looking at all of the different scenery, then this is definitely a good resort as there is so much of it. You can walk around the resort at any time of the day or night and take in the scenery. A trip up to Mount Teide is a popular choice, as well as taking coach trips into the other resorts.

Los Gigantes – beautiful volcanic scenery unlike anywhere else

Los Gigantes is somewhere for people to relax and just take in their surroundings. You will find shops selling souvenirs and designer clothes at discount prices in the resort, as well as plenty of places to eat and drink. There are a nice choice of bars and restaurants on offer selling many different cuisines so that everyone is catered for. Some of the streets are very narrow and steep so people with wheelchairs or pushchairs may struggle at times. The public transport isn\'t bad, with buses into Playa de las Americas leaving every half hour, and buses into Puerto del la Cruz leaving every two hours.

Los Gigantes – beautiful weather along a beautiful coastline

Los Gigantes is lucky to have good weather all year round. The warmest months are July and August, and it still remains warm at night. It can get a little bit chilly along the coast so you may wish to take a small jacket with you. The winter temperatures in Los Gigantes are very mild making it a perfect destination for people to visit all year round. Water temperatures are usually quite high so it is perfect for those of you who wish to try out some of the water sports.
