Los Cristianos offers many activities for everyone to try. One very popular activity that many people like to try just for the experience is deep sea fishing. A very popular activity that people enjoy is taking a hot air balloon ride over the resort. The warm waters also make the beach perfect for water sports. People can enjoy snorkelling, scuba diving, jet-skiing, water skiing, parascending, surfing and windsurfing. Windsurfing lessons are available as well as the opportunity to hire the equipment. Excursions are also available such as whale and dolphin watching, a visit to the Aqua park, a visit to LoroParque, a visit to the zoo and a trip to Mount Teide.

Los Cristianos has more to offer tourists than just activities. Every Sunday, a market is held that offers many souvenirs and clothing for you to buy. The beach is very popular with its golden sands imported from the Sahara desert. During the summer months, it is very often packed with tourists on sunbeds so it is a good idea to get there early if you want a bed. Many sand sculptures are made on the beach which are very interesting to look at. If you go to Los Cristianos in the Easter time then you are likely to see a volleyball competition on the main beach. The public transport in Lost Cristianos is good, with reliable buses and taxis. Buses tend to run every 15-20 minutes, making them ideal for families wishing to get around quickly. There are many gift shops selling souvenirs, clothing, electrical goods and jewellery. There are also some lovely little restaurants to eat in where you will find many cuisines for very reasonable value. For those people looking for the nightlife then the Veronica Strip in Playa de las Americas is only half hours walk away or a 5 minute taxi ride away. Here, you will find clubs, bars, pubs and restaurants offering live music, karaoke and many games.

Los Cristianos – stunning weather all year round

There is year round sunshine in Los Cristianos meaning that it is busy at most times of the year. Even in the winter, temperatures rarely drop below 15C and in the summer temperatures are at 30C. Water temperatures are between 22-24C in summer and 17-20C in the winter meaning that water sports are popular all year round. There is rarely rainfall apart from in the summer months, but even then, this is in moderation. August shows 12 hours of sunlight and December and January show 5 hours of sunshine, but it is still hot when the sun does go out, and the temperatures are still fairly high.
