Las Caletillas - Located in the North-East of Tenerife

Las Caletillas is located on the north east coast of Tenerife and is one of the best resorts to visit for a truly relaxing holiday. The resort is very residential and there is not much nightlife there but there are still some bars and restaurants open in the evenings. Being in the north means that there is colder weather than in the south, but the summer months still bring a lot of warm weather with them. You will find a lot of apartments and 3-4-star hotels offering an all-inclusive board basis in Las Caletillas.

Las Caletillas – few activities for people to try

Las Caletillas is a resort based around relaxing, making it perfect for lazing about on the beach all day. However, should you decide to do something different, there are a few excursions that you could try. One excursion that has proved very popular is the dolphin and whale watching boat trip. In order to do this, you will need to get a bus from the resort into Playa de las Americas or Los Cristianos. Yet another popular excursion, is the visit up Mount Teide. A coach will take you half way up the volcano where there is a small shop to get food and drink, and then it is up to you to get the cable car all the way to the top. Fishing is very popular and the odd hammerhead shark has been known to make the odd appearance.

Las Caletillas – plenty if basic facilities

Las Caletillas does have all of the necessities that you would need throughout the duration of your stay. You will find local supermarkets selling food and drink for all of you in apartments, banks to change up your money, cash machines, souvenir and clothing shops and a chemist. There are restaurants in Las Caletillas where you will find a lot of Canarian cuisine, but if you feel the need, then there is a McDonald\'s nearby. You will also find bars selling tapas and drinks for you to enjoy during the day and in the evening.

Las Caletillas – a slightly wetter climate

As Las Caletillas is located on the north east of the island, it does not experience the best weather. Although you still do get a lot of sunshine, the climate in the north is slightly wetter. There is slightly more rain in the winter months but there is still sun all year round with the same high temperatures both in the summer and the winter.
