Jandia - Located on the South coast of Fuerteventura

Jandia is roughly one hour away from the airport so you have plenty of time to take in your surroundings and get a feel for the location of the resort. The resort is very popular amongst couples and families who enjoy relaxing and exploring. The beach is actually the main attraction of Jandia. The sands are very light and the water is safe and warm. The water is very calm making the beach safe for children. There are also lifeguards at the beach should a problem arise. The accommodation in Jandia is very good with many 4-star hotels, so you can stay in peace and luxury. Many of the apartments suit people who are on a budget, however all of the accommodation has some good facilities for all guests.

Jandia – popular for water sports

Jandia offers many activities to people including many water sports. Windsurfing is very popular in Fuerteventura as the winds are very good. You can receive tuition in windsurfing f you would like to, or you can just hire a board and go out there. Sailing is also popular, as is jet-skiing, snorkelling, scuba diving and deep sea fishing. If you are looking for excursions then take a trip to Corralejo where you can get a ferry over to Lanzarote or visit Baku water park.

Jandia – relaxing holidays based on the beach

Jandia has a fairly tame nightlife which is why it is so suited to coupled and families looking to relax. Much of the entertainment that occurs in the evening is organised by hotels although there are some lively places for you to enjoy. You will find a few bars and cafés near the seafront that often stay open until late playing various typed of music. In the local shopping centres, you will also find some late night bars so you can have a lively night if you choose to. There is a wide choice of places to eat with a lot of cuisines on offer, including fast food, Italian, Chinese, Spanish and English, as well as a lot of sea food. Public transport in the resort is very good, with buses taking you into Puerto del Rosario and Morro Jable. You can also reach Costa Calma by bus should you need to.

Jandia - warm weather all year round

As Jandia is located in the south of the island, it sees some of the best weather that Fuerteventura has to offer. The summer temperatures are around 28°C and the winter temperatures rarely drop below 20°C. There is very little rainfall in the resort and June, July and August show off 12 hours of sunshine a day and the hottest temperatures. The winter months have a minimum of 5 hours of sunshine a day. There is a slight cooling breeze in Fuerteventura that keeps the temperatures stable and enables people to feel comfortable in the heat.
