Costa Teguise - Located on the North-East coast of Lanzarote

Costa Teguise is perfect for families or couples who enjoy lazing around on the beach or sitting by the pool. The resort is very relaxed and has a limited nightlife, so it is not the place to go if you want to be up all night, dancing until dawn. Costa Teguise is the third most popular resort in Lanzarote as it has wonderful beaches, plenty of facilities and many activities for people to try. The transfer time is only 20 minutes so you can have plenty of time in your resort. Costa Teguise is home to 3 beaches that are all full of fine white sands and clear water. The beaches are often fairly windy, but this is very welcomed in the summer. There are many hotels and apartments in Costa Teguise. Most hotels are 4-star, however you will find some low star, budget hotels and some exclusive 5-star hotels. There are private apartments and apartment complexes for you to try offering self-catering board basis.

Costa Teguise – plenty to do in the resort

A favourite activity amongst many people is lazing around on the beach. As well as this, there are many other beach activities such as windsurfing and scuba diving. Windsurfing is very popular in the resort as it is so windy. The water is very warm as well making it perfect for windsurfers. You can receive lessons as well as hire out the equipment. If you would rather not take part in water sports, then cycling can be done. The cool breeze helps you to keep cool when cycling, making it much more bearable. The only golf course on the island is located in Costa Teguise. You can play on the 18 hole golf course and hire out the equipment all year. The Costa Teguise Aquapark is also popular amongst both adults and children, with many rides, slides and swimming pools to keep you occupied.

Costa Teguise – eat, drink and dance until late

There are plenty of restaurants in Costa Teguise offering a wide range of cuisines. These include Chinese, Indian, English, Italian, Mexican and Canarian as well as some fast food American outlets. There is a wide selection of bars in the resort offering sports television, live music, dance floors and karaoke. Many restaurants and bars stay open until late and can be lively at times. There are many shops in Costa Teguise as it is a purpose-built resort making it very suitable for tourists. You will find everything from electronics, to jewellery, to clothing, to souvenirs. The public transport is very good, with regular buses travelling to and from Arrecife and Puerto del Carmen. You will also find a very good taxi service.

Costa Teguise – brilliant weather for the beach

Costa Teguise does experience more wind than southern resorts, however this is welcomed in the summer and enjoyed by windsurfers. The weather is generally very hot all year round, with temperatures of around 25°C. The evenings are slightly cooler, especially in the winter, however this means that you are more likely to get a pleasant nights sleep. There is slightly more rainfall in Costa Teguise as it is in the north, however this clears up very quickly. You will find around 11 hours of sunshine appear a day in the summer, with 7 hours in the winter. The resort is very warm throughout the year making it perfect for tourists.
