Soller - Located on the North-West coast of the island

Soller is a popular resort, especially amongst older couples. The resort is very scenic and is perfect for long, romantic walks. The resort itself is very quiet and perfect for people who really want to relax when they are away. Your transfer time from the airport is around 45 minutes meaning you do not have long, however you can still take in your surrounding so that you get a feel for where you are on the island. The beach on the resort is small, however a larger one is being planned. If you want a better beach, then the nearby resort of Puerto de Soller is the place to go. There are a few hotels in Soller which range from 2-4-star, although the majority are 3-stars.

Soller – beautiful, relaxing scenery

Soller is the perfect resort to go for long walks. The resort is very scenic and is surrounded my mountains that you can go hiking up. The Botanical Gardens are a very popular attraction in the resort with many people visiting each year. There is plenty of scenery for you to see in Soller as well as some fiestas. There are various things that the locals like to celebrate in Soller and they take a lot of pleasure in doing so. The Balearic Museum of Natural Science is in Soller and are linked with the Botanical Gardens. There are a few local excursions that you could enjoy, including trips to Puerto de Soller for the shops and restaurants, as well as trips up the mountains and to Palma.

Soller – many cuisines to enjoy by the sea

There are many restaurants between Soller and Puerto de Soller for you to enjoy. You will find many international cuisines such as Italian, Chinese, Mediterranean, Spanish and English, so everyone is catered for. The bars are mainly in Puerto de Soller, although you will find a few in Soller. Many are relaxed and do not stay open until dawn. You can eat in many of them or enjoy live music. There are many old-fashioned shops in Soller as well as some souvenir shops, jewellery shops and clothing stores. Everything is also very reasonably priced. There are regular trams taking you into Puerto de Soller and you enjoy the scenery on the way. If you wanted to visit a livelier area, then there are 6 buses a day taking you to and from Palma so you can experience more shops, a better beach and a busy nightlife.

Soller – perfect weather for taking in the sights

Soller has very hot weather, especially during July and August. All the way between May and October is sunshine and its only from November to April that you may need a jacket in the evenings. It is also more likely to rain in the winter months so you may wish to wrap up warm. However, there is always sunshine at some stage during the day, and this is normally very warm. The temperatures are around 30C in the summer and rarely fall below 10C. The water temperatures tend to remain high, making the beach the perfect place to go and top up your tans.
