Puerto Pollensa - Located on the North West coast of Majorca

Puerto Pollensa is an ideal resort for families and people looking to relax and explore Majorca. The resort is very scenic which has proved to be very popular over the years amongst many couples. Your transfer time from the airport to the resort and vice versa is around 1 and a half hours. There is a long beach for you to use at your disposal. The beach is covered in white sand, with turquoise waters. There are showers, sunbeds and parasols for you to use and plenty of room for you to relax. There is a lot of accommodation on offer in Puerto Pollensa,with a mixture of both hotels and apartments. You will find that many of the hotels are around 3-stars, although you will find some of a higher rating.

Puerto Pollensa is full of daytime activities for everyone to enjoy. The picturesque beaches provide many water sports including windsurfing, snorkelling and scuba diving. If water activities are not for you then there are many walks that you can go on, horse-riding or even bike riding. If you do decide to visit the resort in January, then you will find a fiesta taking place to celebrate the patron saint of animals. There are many other fiestas throughout the year celebrating various different things and they are very popular and important to the locals. If you enjoy experiencing different cultures then the Pollensa Municipal Museum is a must see. You will find a lot of artwork in the museum which helps you to understand the culture and history of the resort. If you do want to do something really different then line dancing is always an option. This may be different, however it is very popular and many people enjoy the activity.

Puerto Pollensa has a variety of bars offering live music and some cabaret acts. You will find English bars, Irish bars and many others offering good atmospheres. There is only one real disco called Chivas. The nightlife is mainly down to the bars and restaurants, which is very appealing to many people. There are plenty of restaurants in the resort. You are spoilt for choice with the cuisines on offer including, Italian, Chinese, Indian, English, Spanish and Mediterranean. There are a few shops in the resort of Puerto Pollensa selling jewellery, leather, shoes, clothing and souvenirs. There is also a market held in the square selling various different crafts. The public transport in Puerto Pollensa is very good with a regular bus service and many taxis. The buses take you into other resorts such as Alcudia, Ca\'n Picafort, Palma and Cala San Vicente amongst others.

Puerto Pollensa – summer weather perfect for tourists

Puerto Pollensa has very hot weather, especially during July and August. All the way between May and October is sunshine and its only from November to April that you may need a jacket in the evenings. It is also more likely to rain in the winter months so you may wish to wrap up warm. However, there is always sunshine at some stage during the day, and this is normally very warm. The temperatures are around 30C in the summer and rarely fall below 10C. The water temperatures tend to remain high, making the beach the perfect place to go and top up your tans and try some water sports.
