Pollensa - Located in the North East of Majorca

Pollensa is known to be one of the most beautiful resorts on the island of Majorca. It appeals to the more mature visitor mainly although people of all ages have enjoyed the resort. The resort is very historical and cultural and is very appealing to those who want to learn something new when they come away on holiday. Pollensa does not have its own beach, but there is a beach nearby at Puerto de Pollensa. There are a few hotels within the resort, however most of the accommodation is made up of villas.

Pollensa offers many sights for you to see. As it is very cultural and historical, there are many historic buildings for you to look at as well as beautiful landscapes. If you want more activities then you would need to take a visit to Puerto Pollensa where you can shop and try water sports. Pollensa is a very elegant resort with museums and art galleries showing many exhibitions. There are also many views for you to experience that are beautiful in the summer months. If you were looking for something a little more active, then there is a 9-hole golf course for you to try.

Pollensa – a very relaxing resort

The old town of Pollensa is very popular for its restaurants. All of them sell quality foods and there is something there for everyone to enjoy. There is a lot of Mediterranean food as well as Italian and sea food for you to try. There are a few bars but you will not find any nightclubs within the resort. The resort has a very relaxed nightlife, with people mainly going out to eat and then go back to hotels. You may find a few of the hotels putting on evening entertainment for their guests. Public transport takes you into Puerto Pollensa and Palma so you can shop and experience a more lively area.

Pollensa – perfect weather for sight-seeing

Pollensa is a resort that has good weather for most of the year. The winters remain mild, and the summer temperatures rarely fall below 25C. The water temperature in the summer is around 26C making it perfect for those of you wanting to go for a swim, and even in the winter, water temperatures still remain fairly high. July and August offer the best weather, but the whole summer season is from April until November. October however does bring the most rain to the resort, closely followed by November and December.
