Ciutadella – located on the west coast of Menorca

Ciutadella is a popular resort with families and couples. It is lively and full of energy during the day and again at night. The transfer time for this resort from Menorca airport is around 45-40 minutes. This gives you plenty of time to look at the scenery that other areas of Menorca have to offer as well as getting the chance to gain an understanding of the location of your resort and the location of your accommodation within the resort. There are a variety of hotels and apartments that you can choose from, mainly ranging from 2-5-stars. They have all of the products and services that you would want and there are plenty of supermarkets around if you have chosen to go for the self-catering option.

Ciutadella – plenty to see and do both day and night

Ciutadella is home to some good activities such as water sports, sightseeing or even horse riding. The water sports that you can enjoy include sailing, swimming, windsurfing and snorkelling. There is a race track in Ciutadella for horse-riding which is popular with both locals and tourists. There are also plenty of fiestas that go on around the resort. These celebrate the culture and history of Ciutadella. They also show off the Minorcan traditions that the locals are very proud of. As well as this, there are a lot of excursions that you can go on. There are many boat trips available as well as walking and bird-watching trips. There are also other resorts that you can go and visit such as Fornells which is actually a fishing village and has a brilliant windsurfing centre. Playing golf at Son Parc also tends to be a popular activity.

Ciutadella – plenty of restaurants for you to choose from

Ciutadella is home to many restaurants with a variety of cuisines. You will find Chinese, Italian, Spanish and British cuisines available. There are plenty of bars available to you offering karaoke, cocktails and live music. As well as this you will find a few pubs and discos to keep you entertained. There are plenty of shops for you to choose from where you will find clothing, jewellery, shoes, bags, souvenirs and other small crafts. Public transport in the resort is good with buses taking you into other resorts such as Cala Blanca and Cala\'n Bosch.

Ciutadella – typically Mediterranean climate

Ciutadella is blessed with long, warm summers, clear blue skies and hours of sunshine. Winter in Ciutadella is still good as it remains fairly mild. Although there is rain in the winter, it is light and moderate. There are cool breezes that sweep across the resort maintaining temperatures and making it a lot cooler for you. Summer sees temperatures reaching 30°C with 11 hours of sunshine a day. Temperatures have also been known to reach 35°C, especially during August. Very little rain falls between July and September making it a very popular summer destination. During the winter, you may only see 5 hours of sunshine and temperatures will drop to 14°C. This is between December and January, however in March, temperatures start to rise again, reaching 18°C. It is very rare that it will rain for a whole day in Ciutadella. When it does rain, it usually clears up very quickly.
