Cala Ratjada - Located on the North-East of Majorca
Transfers from Palma to Cala Ratjada can take around 90 minutes. Cala Ratjada is a lively, well-established resort. The beach of Cala Ratjada is stunning and is even in possession of the European Blue Flag for its cleanliness. The resort has plenty to offer to tourists and is mainly popular amongst families, however during high season, large groups of young singles enjoy the resort because of its nightlife. There are plenty of 3-4 star hotels in Cala Ratjada to choose from, although a few 2-star hotels can be found as well. Flights to Palma take approximately 2.5 hours.
Cala Ratjada – plenty of entertainment both day and night
Cala Ratjada is a resort that caters to everyone's needs, with entertainment and activities for people of all ages both day and night. There are many beach activities for you to take part in, including volleyball and water sports. These include jet-skiing, rides on a banana boat and windsurfing. If you prefer land activities, then you can choose from horse-riding, tennis, golf or even hiking. There is also plenty of sight-seeing for you to do such as visiting the medieval castle at Capdepera or a trip up the lighthouse to see some amazing views of the island.
Cala Ratjada – lively nightlife for all ages
Cala Ratjada is home to a lively nightlife full of bars and restaurants. Many of the clubs stay open until the early hours offering various types of music. The restaurants are very reasonable and you will find many different types of cuisine such as Spanish, Italian, Mexican and English. You may also find Chinese and Indian restaurants, as well as a few fast food places. The clubs and discos offer music, laser shows and foam parties to entertain everyone. The bars offer a wide selection of drinks, including many different cocktails. Public transport is available to take you into other resorts such as Palma, although this can occasionally be late.
Cala Ratjada – sunshine all year round
Cala Ratjada offers beautiful weather to tourists, especially in the Summer. If the July and August temperatures of 30°C are too much for you, then a trip in April would be a better idea, as the temperatures are similar to British Summers. The water temperatures remain high throughout the year making the sea perfect for the water sports. In the winter, temperatures rarely drop below 10°C, especially with the resort being along the coast.
