There are many beach side bars and restaurants which enable you to enjoy your food and enjoy great views at the same time. The nightlife is really in hotels, although there are discos and evening entertainment further in the resort. There are also some nightclubs in the centre of the resort which are popular during the summer months. Public transport in Alcudia is good and reliable. Buses take you into Palma, Puerto de Pollensa and C'an Picafort. There is a market on Tuesday and Sunday mornings as well as shops offering souvenirs and jewellery the rest of the week.
Alcudia is a resort that has good weather for most of the year. The winters remain mild, and the summer temperatures rarely fall below 25C. The water temperature in the summer is around 26C making it perfect for water sports, and even in the winter, water temperatures still remain fairly high. July and August offer the best weather, but the whole summer season is from April until November. October however does bring the most rain to the resort, closely followed by November and December.
