Tenerife Sur (South) Airport is located at the south end of Tenerife island near the main tourist area.
 
While travelling on the TF-1 highway, there is direct access to the airport which also links Santa Cruz de Tenerife to the rest of the island.
 
There are two airports on Tenerife Island, Tenerife Los Rodeos Airport (TFN) in the north and Tenerife Reina Sofia Airport (TFS) in the south.
 
Flights: The majority of flights fly into Tenerife Sur which handled approximately 8.6 million passengers in 2007 alone.
 
Facilities: Tenerife Sur Airport is situated 60 kilometres from the capital city of Santa Cruz de Tenerife. The Tenerife Sur Airport, open 24 hours, consists of one terminal that houses a variety of passenger services including seven car rental choices, six tour operators, 13 travel agencies, a bank, a VIP lounge, seven information desks, a post office and a pharmacy.
 
Transport: Passengers can access transportation facilities from the terminal including taxicabs, shuttle buses, car rentals and private transportation outside the baggage claim area.
 
Parking: The Tenerife Sur Airport offers 806 public parking spaces for its passengers with 12 of those available for reduced mobility passengers. The rates are charged per minute with a daily maximum rate of up to four days at €10.30 with a daily maximum from the fifth day at €8.25.
 
Accommodation: Tenerife Sur Airport hotels include the Sheraton La Caleta Resort, Barcelo Varadero and the Hotel Sol Puerto Playa.
