Extra Information about Lanzarote Airport

Lanzarote airport, named Arrecife Airport, is among the top ten busiest airports in Spain with around 53, 000 flights entering and leaving this airport annually.
 
If you are driving to the airport from the city centre, take exit 4 off of the Arrecife-Yaiza (LZ-2) road.
 
Arrecife airport has one terminal with two levels; arrivals is divided into T1 on the ground floor for international passengers and T2 on the upper floor for inter-island passengers. T1 facilities include six baggage carousels, car rentals, a cafeteria, cash machines, tour operation desks and a tourist information office. The facilities found in T2 are a baggage reclaims desk, a lost property office, car rentals, a cafeteria and a multi-shop.
 
Departures is divided into T1 for international passengers and T2 for inter-island passengers. T1 on the first floor has forty-two check-in desks, an information service, a chemist and a lottery shop. The boarding area has an observation deck overlooking open terraces, several shops, restaurants, and a VIP lounge. T2 has six check-in desks, the Binter ticket sales counter, an Aena information desk, a multi-shop and a cafeteria.
 
Transportation to and from the airport includes car hire agencies (which are available from both levels outside the airport), buses and taxis. Bus lines 22 and 23 stop every 15-25 minutes outside the arrivals hall and the taxi rank is outside the arrivals hall on level 1.
 
The airport parking area has 1047 spaces with 310 being reserved for rental cars and 49 for buses.
 
Accommodation is not available at the airport but the Arrecife Hotel Diamar & Business Centre is across the road from Reducto Beach only 6kms from the airport.
