The severe weather conditions on the east coast of the United States are disrupting many flights in and out of New York and Washington. We are monitoring this situation and will update our website as more information becomes available. The following flights have been cancelled :

**All passengers will be rebooked to VS18 departing from New York, Newark at 08:00H on 11 February and scheduled to arrive at London Heathrow at 20:00H on 11 February 2010.
Some of our other flights to the east coast of the United States will be delayed until the weather has improved; please check Flight Status for the latest information on your flight schedule before you travel to the airport.
Where Flight Status advises a later scheduled departure time than is displayed on your ticket our check in and bag drop desks at the airport will remain open until 2 hours before this new departure time.
If your flight has been cancelled, please do not travel to the airport.
Any passengers holding confirmed reservations for a cancelled flight should contact their travel agents or, for direct bookings only, call their nearest Virgin Atlantic reservations centre or if you are in the UK our flight disruption line on 0870 998 0747 AFTER 09:00H (UK time) on 10 February to rebook to the next available flight departing on or after Thursday 11 February 2010.
Virgin Holidays customers still in the UK should contact them directly on 0844 557 4002. Passengers who are overseas should make contact with their local Virgin Holidays representative. It is our intention to carry passengers to their destination at the earliest opportunity when our flying programme has fully resumed however space is limited and it could take some days before all passengers are accommodated. The following alternative options are therefore also available to passengers:
A Refund of unused flights, if travel has not commenced.
All refunds will be credited to the original form of payment. Passengers requiring a refund should go back to the point of sale
Re-book/Re-route to a later date
Take a Virgin Atlantic flight to your destination at a later date convenient to you, subject to availability in the same ticket class and seasonal supplements being paid. If the new fare is lower the difference will be refunded.
Re-book on a Virgin Atlantic flight to/from another destination
Subject to availability in the same ticket class. Any additional fare cost will be charged. If the new fare is lower the difference will be refunded.
General Conditions
- Travel must be completed within ticket validity or within three months from the original flight, whichever is longer.
- Passengers on through tickets involving other carriers must notify us before travel commences. Passengers with connecting flights issued on separate tickets must make their own arrangements with the other carrier including the payment of any additional costs and amendment fees.
- Passengers on package holidays must refer to their tour operators who may not operate the same policy. Passengers should also be aware that any applicable refund would only relate to the airfare portion of the inclusive package and not the whole cost of the holiday.
