easyJet has announced three exciting new routes from Edinburgh Airport, including Scotland’s only direct route to Athens.
The airline will begin flying to Athens, Tenerife and Grenoble from September.
Hugh Aitken, easyJet’s Commercial Manager for Scotland, said:
“easyJet is excited to announce the launch of three fantastic new routes including Scotland’s only direct route to Athens, connecting Edinburgh to the Greek capital.
“We are responding to customer demand, providing an even greater choice of city, sun and ski destinations from Edinburgh.”
Kevin Brown, Managing Director, Edinburgh Airport, said: “Today’s announcement is not only an investment in Edinburgh Airport, but in Edinburgh itself. It has consistently proven that it is a city in which people want to live, work and visit. We will continue to work with our airlines and the City to ensure that as many people as possible can do just that.
“More passengers pass through Edinburgh Airport with easyJet than any other airline and it’s pleasing that we’re able to develop Edinburgh together in partnership.”
