easyJet and Stansted airport are entering into a new initiative to significantly reduce aircraft noise.

Official guidelines are being set to find the most fuel-efficient ways to get an aircraft to taxi to and from the runway, reducing noise.

Pilots can actually minimise noise and hazardous emissions coming from the aircraft.

Stansted and easyJet are working closely together in the hope that other airlines will soon join the initiative.

If the plan is implemented properly then the guidelines will cut ground emissions by up to 30% compared to current levels.
