British Airways are introducing yet another new charge to customers who wish to choose their seats for a flight.

Many passengers wish to sit together on flights and others have preference to whether they have a window or aisle seat. The new charges could mean a family of 4 would have to pay an extra £240 on a long-haul flight.

The new charge will come into force on the 7th October and is yet another change for customers to worry about with this airline. Recently, BA also reduced its luggage allowance and removed all free meals from its short-haul flights.

British Airways has only let passengers pick their seats in the last 24 hours before the flight departs. However, from the 7th October, only people willing to pay will be able to do so. During peak travel periods, families will risk being sat apart unless they have the extra money to choose their seats.

Prices will start from £10 per person for European economy flights and £60 for long haul flights in business class.
