Travellers in London and the South East of England will benefit from an extended range of services from London City Airport this summer, as British Airways adds three new leisure routes to the hub.
British summer holiday favourite Menorca will be served by a new route between London City and Mahon, which will commence on 25 May. BA already offers flights to Ibiza and Mallorca, so the addition of Menorca completes its Balearic portfolio.
Flights to France from London City will also be boosted this summer, with routes to Quimper in Brittany and Angers in the Loire Valley being added by BA. The new flights will bring BA’s total number of destinations offered from London City up to 21, making holidays more accessible and convenient for Londoners and those living nearby. Top destinations across Europe, the UK and the United States are now accessible from the inner-city facility.
“We’re sure that these new routes, coupled with British Airways’ all-inclusive fares and London City’s unique 20-minute check-in, will be a hit this summer,” commented BA spokesperson Luke Hayhoe.
Other airlines competing for business at London City Airport include Aer Arann, Lufthansa and Swiss Air. Destinations available range from European routes to Frankfurt and Geneva through to shorter flights to destinations such as the Isle of Man.
