Torremolinos Resort Guide

Torremolinos - Located on the South coast of Spain

Families and young groups of lively people can usually be found in Torremolinos; especially during the summer months. The more mature tourists tend to come in the quieter months of winter. The transfer time for this resort can be anything fro 20-45 minutes. This means that you get a lot of time in your resort, as well as being able to look at scenery and get an understanding of the location of the resort. Torremolinos is home to some of the best beaches son the south coast. The two main beaches are long and are covered in fine, golden sand. The water is also warm making it easier for you to enjoy water sports. There are a lot of hotels in Torremolinos, with most being 3-stars. All hotels have all of the facilities that you need, including swimming pools, bars and sunbeds. There are also a lot of self-catering apartments on offer.

Torremolinos – plenty of beach-based activities

There are plenty of water sports in Torremolinos that can keep you occupied, such as windsurfing, scuba diving, parasailing, paragliding, water-skiing, jet-skiing, surfing, snorkelling and going on a pedallo. Fishing and sailing are also popular. Pony trekking in the hills is good for children and a great way to see some brilliant views. There is a brilliant aqua park for everyone to enjoy which is home to swimming pools and water slides. Golf is also popular, with many local courses. There are also plenty of excursions for you to try such as a trip to Marbella, Fuengirola or Mijas. A trip to the Caves of Nerja is a definite must, as well as visiting Seville and the casino.

Torremolinos – plenty of restaurants to choose from

There are plenty of restaurants for you to choose from that cater to all tastes. There are Chinese, Italian, British, American, Indian and Mexican cuisines on offer as well as a lot of local Spanish cuisine and seafood. You will also find a lot of fast-food available for those wanting to grab something to eat after a night out. There are hundreds of bars in Torremolinos as well as around a dozen nightclubs which means that there is no shortage of nightlife for you to enjoy. The shops offer many things for tourists such as clothing, jewellery, leather goods and souvenirs. The public transport in Torremolinos is very good, with buses and trains being both reliable and frequent. There is a half hourly train service taking you into Malaga and Fuengirola as well as buses taking you into Malaga and other coastal resorts.

Torremolinos – long hot summers

Torremolinos holidays offer you long hot summers and warm winters. There is an average annual temperature of 22°C and 330 days of pure sunshine a year. March and April are still 22°C and in the August, temperatures sore above 30°C. There are around 12 hours of sunshine a day in the summer months, with water temperatures reaching 24°C, making water sports even more enjoyable. The coastal areas are much cooler than inland as you will feel the sea breeze, keeping you at a comfortable temperature. Winter in Torremolinos is still warm and sunny. September and October still boast temperatures of 25-30°C. In November, the temperature still only drops to 22°C. December and January are slightly colder but still warm at 17°C. You will still see 6-7 hours of sunshine a day and only a slight rainfall around October.
