You will find many families and couples here, as well as groups of friends looking to try somewhere different. Many business people enjoy the resort as well as special interest groups such as bird-watchers. Transfer times vary but none are longer than 1 and a half hours, giving you plenty of time to take in sights and enjoy your holiday. There are 7 miles of coastline in Agadir, all with golden sands leading down to the calm turquoise waters. The beaches remain unlittered and have plenty of room for everyone so overcrowding is rare. When it comes to accommodation, you will find hotels, apartments and aparthotels. There are a few all-inclusive options, as well as half board and bed and breakfast. Most hotels have swimming pools and various activities for you to try.
Agadir – plenty of things to see and do
First and foremost, sun-seekers will love Agadir as they can relax either at the beach or at their hotels by the pool. As well as relaxing on the beach, you can also take part in some of the water sports such as jet-skiing, taking a pedalo out or wind-surfing. Snorkelling has also become increasingly popular. Shark fishing is something that you can also try. If you prefer to stay away from the water then you can always visit one of the 3 professional courses in Agadir itself. Thanks to the constant sunshine, Agadir is a perfect destination for golfing. Horse riding is also very popular and a great way of getting around Agadir. You can go for rides along the beach or along the mountain paths, exploring the extensive countryside around the resort. Camel rides are very popular, especially the sunrise and sunset treks. Something that will appeal to many people is the safari in the dunes of the Sahara Desert. This is an overnight trip, enabling you to stay in a tent over night.
Agadir – a large selection of restaurants to choose from
There are many restaurants in Agadir with a variety of cuisines on offer. These include French, Oriental, Italian, Spanish and of course, Moroccan. Seafood is a favourite in the resort with fresh fish served everywhere. Most of the nightlife is limited to hotels with entertainment programmes put on show. However, there are also many nightclubs and bars with live music and entertainment. Cabaret evenings are very popular as well as a fine dining evening at the Agadir Beach Club. There are many shops on offer in Agadir, some with designer clothing and others with high street brands. You will also find jewellery, bags, souvenirs and crafts in many shops. The local market gives you an opportunity to haggle on prices. When it comes to public transport, you are quite lucky. There is a mini train during the day as well as local buses and taxis. It is important to agree the price before getting into the taxi but most tend to be reasonable.
