There was a time when the telegraph building was a central spot in capitals around the world. The architecture was impressive, reflecting the importance of the new and sensational telecommunication technology of those days. The telegraph building was a natural meeting place where telephone calls and telegrams were dispatched manually by special service staff. Tallinn's former telegraph building, built in 1878, has now been carefully restored and transformed into this unique and luxurious 86-room historic city hotel.
