This hotel is situated in the Salta province, 317 km from the province capital city. Iruya, a typical mountain village in which the hotel stands, is nestled into the mountain slopes among the multicoloured hills and sierras and crystal-clear, tinkling rivers. The hotel is located at the highest point of this picturesque village, a spot with panoramic views of the whole village, the valley, the river and the brook. Surrounded by small adobe houses and country landscapes, guests will feel like they are on top of the world.
All of the hotel's rooms offer guests the privilege of a comfortable rest, as well as the enjoyment of the reigning silence in this location that is very much off the beaten track. Rooms are en suite and include a hairdryer and individually regulated heating units.
The hotel places great importance on getting into the heart of the visually amazing. Local expert guides are available to guide guests through trails in the middle of valleys, rivers and brooks, to places no one has ever thought of, providing guests with the opportunity to mingle with cultures that both live and think differently and keep their ancestors' roots and customs alive. Iruya can be enjoyed all year round, but there are certain key dates in the local calendar when local traditional activities and feasts take place.
The hotel has a bar and restaurant service for lunch and dinner. Guests can enjoy a typical local menu, which reflects the idiosyncrasy of these pre-Columbian peoples. Guests will taste the typically delicious dishes from northern Argentina, which are rich in culture and tradition.
VISA and Master Card are accepted by the hotel.
If guests travel in their own vehicles, we request that they fill up on petrol and take some cash in Humahuaca or in Tilcara, as there are no petrol stations or cash machines in Iruya.
