Location and Resort:
Malia is located 25km east of Heraklion, on the way to Agios Nikolaos. The town itself is unusual small town, unlike any other in Crete. It has developed thanks to tourism interest over recent years and is divided into two distinct areas the old town with its charming old buildings, squares and narrow winding streets and the newer more tourist-based modern side.
What you see here is a complete different image of Malia compared to the old town. Filled with clubs, bars, cafes, English and Irish pubs and fast food joints, serving anything from souvlaki to pizzas, it is the place to be for those who fancy a good night out.
Late in the evening and during the night it starts to be the busiest road of Malia. Most of the partying and drinking takes place on the street, which is closed to traffic at night.
Eating and Drinking:
If you feel like a change from self-catered meals then you need only take a short walk into Malia where you can find a wide variety of restaurants as well fast-food outlets serving local and international cuisine.
There is a large outdoor swimming pool onsite, which includes a spacious sun terrace with plenty of loungers and parasols to use, providing an ideal place to make the most of the sun during your stay.
