Renovated in 2005, this country house and spa hotel was first constructed more than 700 years ago. The original turrets, arcades, and wood panelling lend the building, which is decorated in a very modern way, a historical ambience. The train is recommended for longer excursions, and there is a station some 4 km from the hotel. Equally worthwhile is a trip to the Camelot theme park 30 km away or to Blackpool beach some 55 km from the hotel. Transfer times to Manchester airport are around 60 minutes, at a distance of 45 km.
