Guests are drawn by the sun, gentle breezes and mild climate that can be enjoyed from this south facing, hillside hotel on the tiny island of Capri. Anacapri is the quieter of the two main villages on the island and having stepped off the ferry or hydrofoil from the Italian mainland, do take a bus or taxi as there is quite a steep climb uphill from the port. Surrounding the hotel is the botanical park which is particularly interesting, with its mangroves, palms, pines, Cyprus and other exotic plants.

Location and Resort:
The ferry from Naples to Capri Island takes about 80 minutes. The hydrofoil takes about 40 minutes. Of the two ports in Naples, Molo Beverello offers a more frequent service. The small port of Mergellina is the alternative port. From Naples airport to either port takes about 30 minutes and taxi is recommended. Alternatively ferries from Sorrento take 40 minutes to Capri, whilst the hydrofoil takes 20 minutes. Car traffic in the centre and panoramic areas of Capri is strictly prohibited from about Easter to November, so hiring a car to travel around the island is not possible, although could be left near the embarkation point. However, once on the island there are endless possibilities by sea taxi and transfer and cruise boats, to explore the mainland - for example, Positano, Amalfi, Ravello and the Sorrento Peninsula. A helicopter service is available from Naples airport to Capri. The flight takes 15 to 20 minutes and each helicopter can accommodate a maximum of four passengers. Due to the reduced space aboard, customers are advised to avoid carrying excess baggage.
Capri Island is only three miles long by one mile wide, but is of particular interest to all visitors on the mainland. A visit to the famous Blue Grotto is a must, but if staying on Capri during the peak summer months, go early in the morning before the travellers from Naples arrive, ensure the day is sunny, and this renowned spot can be seen at its most beautiful.
Eating and Drinking:
A Continental and buffet breakfast is prepared at the hotel and there is a cocktail bar serving local drinks and desserts. There is a choice of restaurants in Anacapri.
Although the hotel does not have a pool and there are no ordinary beaches, on such a small island the possibilities to experience the marvelous Mediterranean sun and sea whilst being surrounded by spectacular scenery, is countless.
The Casa Caprile Hotel will appeal to couples and singles looking for a location where sightseeing and exploration opportunities offer endless choices for your holiday on Capri.
