The air-conditioned hotel was built in 1850 and renovated in 2009 in a Moroccan style. Each room had individually adjustable air conditioning added and the hotel now also features a small plunge pool in the central inner courtyard, shaded by the orange trees. This city hotel also includes a terrace and 2 floors with a total of 19 rooms. Facilities include a lobby with a 24-hour reception, safe, a bar, restaurant, conference facilities and a wireless Internet access point, as well as room and laundry services (charges apply). All areas are decorated in a traditional Moroccan style.People from muslim countries/religion need a marriage certificate to share a double room. When checking-in at the airport guests should try to be among the first passengers in line, as otherwise it can take a long time (up to an hour). Landing cards must be filled in on arrival and departure (usually distributed onboard the aircraft). Please contact the hotel before arriving at the airport and reserve a taxi in advance through the riad to help make the transfer easier. Many guests have found themselves in a challenging situation by taking any taxi from the airport, including being over charged and left far from the actual riad location. Kids under 8 are not permitted.The rooms include a large bedroom with a double bed, individually designed in an attractive Moroccan style, with either 2 single beds or one double bed. Some of the rooms can also accommodate a third person, with an extra bed made available on request. They all include an en suite bathroom as well as a hairdryer, Internet access, a safe and individually adjustable air conditioning and heating as standard. The apartments have 2 bedrooms and a lounge area, and are suited to 4-5 people. The rooms are ideally suited to families or friends.
Guests can take a taxi from the airport (Petit Taxis are slightly cheaper than normal ones). Taxis must take guests to Ben Salah Square, from where they should follow the signs for Azbetz. From here it is the third street on the right, around a 1-minute walk. Please call the hotel staff if there are any difficulties. Taxis from the airport can be something of a challenge and sometimes drop guests a long way from the hotel, so guests are advised to contact the hotel and organise a pick up in advance. They should contact the hotel as soon as they can with their arrival time and flight number, and details as to whether dinner will be required on the arrival day. The hotel catering must be arranged in advance. Please keep the hotel phone number handy and call to announce any delay for the pick up, as airport pick ups are offered regularly.
