About the 4* The Lodge On Elizabeth

This hotel is housed in one of Australia's oldest Georgian Mansions, built in 1829. Originally called Melbourne Lodge, the property was built by John Stracey who was the colony's first auctioneer. It became a private school for boys in 1831, and then became the home for the Honourable George Salier, his wife Harriet and their fourteen children. For a period of over 180 years, many notable families have resided here, and the 13-room hotel is now listed by the National Trust and forms part of the National Estate - thus becoming part of Australia's lasting heritage.

This hotel is conveniently located only a short walk from the CBD and approximately 30 restaurants.

Each of the rooms has a different look and feel. All come with a private bathroom and some of the more luxurious rooms feature a spa and a 4-poster bed.

A full continental buffet breakfast is included.
