The hotel invites guests to enjoy its wholesome Alpine atmosphere. It has been family-owned since 1934 and today is run by the 3rd and 4th generations. The property comprises 23 guest rooms, a hotel safe, lift access, a restaurant, conference facilities and a car park.
The town of Oberammergau, with a population of just 5,000, is known world-wide not only for its Passion Play every 10 years but also for its woodcarvings and other arts.
All rooms have a wonderful view of the Ammergau Alps. Most of them also have a balcony. The doors are made of the very special mountain tree, Swiss pine. From Munich, take the A95 south to Garmisch-Partenkirchen. At Oberau (just before Garmisch) turn right towards Oberammergau. Take the first entrance to Oberammergau and then drive straight to the church tower. From Augsburg or Kempten, also take the first entrance and drive straight to the centre of town to the church tower, which can be seen from everywhere in the town.
