The resort offers 47 timbered villas, each of which is hand-crafted by local tradesmen, terraced into the hillside reflecting the traditional simplicity of the Borneo architectural style, blending seamlessly with the comforts and needs of the most sophisticated and discerning luxury traveller. Facilities include a lobby with 24-hour reception, a hotel safe, bar and restaurant, and room and laundry services.
The resort is located on the 1 km-long sandy beach of Polish Bay facing the South China Sea, a luxurious jewel set on a coral reef island just off the coast of Borneo. The secluded island is tucked away on a tranquil and hidden bay framed by a crescent-shaped white sandy beach on one side and the centuries-old virgin jungle on the other.
Scattered throughout the hillside with a mix of secluded jungle and ocean views, these large, 1-bedroom villas offer idyllic hideaways and the ultimate in true rustic luxury. Private balconies offer jaw dropping vistas of the beach below and the South China Sea beyond. Villas range from simple timbered dwellings, steps from the beach, to opulent 3-bedroom, multi-level units with wrap-around decks and indulgent private plunge pools. Each accommodation unit additionally features an en suite bathroom with a shower and a bathtub, as well as satellite TV, an in-room safe, minibar, tea and coffee making facilities and air conditioning.
The hotel offers spa treatments, jet skiing and surfing. In the surrounding area, guests can have a fun yet tranquil day at Gayana, kayak through emerald waters, explore awe-inspiring mangroves, catch a sight of hornbills perched on centuries-old trees, trek through thick jungles bursting with butterflies, birds, cicadas, and endless flora, dive into ocean treasures or sunbathe on the sandy beach or afloat its waters while smiling at happy seahorses, and gigantic clams. Whatever they choose, guests can sit and wait to be entertained.
The Koi, a modern European Bistro with contemporary flair, offers the largest wine selection in the region. It opens daily for breakfast, and serves a set menu lunch and dinner.
