Operated by the largest budget hotel chain in Singapore, this 4-storey, 81-room city hotel opened its doors in 1995. Restored from a conserved building with distinct pre-Second World War architectural design, the hotel is fully air-conditioned and offers comfortable and clean accommodation for the budget-minded traveller. The hotel has a lobby area with a 24-hour reception, hotel safe, laundry service (for a fee) and parking facilities. Although there is no Internet access at the hotel, there is an Internet café just two doors away from the hotel.
The hotel is located near the Malay heritage site of Geylang Serai, which is just a mere 10-minute walk away where guests can experience the facets of Malay culture. Authentic Malay cuisine is on offer at the many food and beverage establishments in the Geylang Serai area. It takes 10 minutes to drive to the old residential district of Katong, which is famous for its old-world charm and famous Perankan cuisine. For guests who prefer the beaches and parks, the East Coast Parkway is just 10 minutes' drive away. The bus station is some 100 m and the railway station is around 15 minutes' walk away from the hotel. Various shopping venues can be found some 15 minutes from the accommodation by public transport. Singapore Changi Airport is approximately 12 km away from the establishment.
The hotel rooms, including triple and family rooms, feature individually adjustable air conditioning, an attached bathroom with a shower, heater and a hairdryer, and basic amenities such as a TV, direct dial telephone, mini fridge and tea and coffee making facilities in all rooms. The superior and twin rooms offer either two single beds or one queen-size bed. Rooms come with a window and non-smoking rooms are subject to request and availability. As there is only one disabled-friendly room in the hotel it is also subject to request and availability.
There is no restaurant on site but guests can easily find food at Geylang Serai, Katong and the East Coast Parkway, which is also famous for its seafood restaurants with sea view. They are all within 10 minutes either on foot or by car.

From the airport, a 20-minute taxi ride, via the city expressway, will bring guests to the hotel. The MRT (subway) connection from the airport can bring one to the nearest station, Paya Lebar MRT Station, and a short taxi or bus ride will bring guests to the hotel.
The hotel has a 24-hour reception counter and also a simple and basic business centre. Although the hotel does not have a car park, guests can always park their vehicles in the public car park just opposite the hotel (for a fee).
