Arillas – located in the north west corner of Corfu

Arillas is a resort that suits couples and families that are looking to spend quality time together on a relaxing beach holiday. The transfer time for this resort is around 1 and a half hours. This gives you more than enough time to look around at surrounding scenery as well as gain an understanding of the location of the resort and the location of your accommodation within the resort. The beach is fairly narrow with golden sands and clear waters. The beach is set next to white cliffs making it a brilliant and relaxing setting. The sea is safe to swim in and there are lifeguards on duty at all times. There are also a number of amenities to use such as toilets, changing rooms and showers. Although there can be a strong coastal breeze at the beach, you will still find water sports to enjoy. There is a range of accommodation in Arillas including both hotels and self-catering apartments. Some apartments offer good views over the valley and both hotels and apartments mainly range from 2-4-stars. You will find both half-board and all-inclusive board options in Arillas.

Arillas – plenty of beach activities to enjoy

Arillas is home to a number of beach activities including water sports such as, water-skiing, jet-skiing, parascending, paragliding, snorkelling, scuba diving and windsurfing. Canoeing has become popular as well as taking out pedalloes. Horse-riding is a popular activity and can happen along the beach or in the country areas. There are also a number of cliff walks to go on which give you some amazing views of surrounding areas. There are also a number of local excursions for you to go on such as trips along the coast and up the mountains, a visit to Corfu Town for shopping and sightseeing and plenty of boat trips and cruises to many islands such as Kefalonia and Paxos. A cruise to Albania can also be done.

Arillas – a number of Greek and British taverns

Arillas has a number of Greek Taverns meaning there is a lot of Greek food and seafood available. There are also a few British cuisines available and other international menus for you to enjoy if you would prefer something more familiar. There are also a number of snack bars and ice-cream shops to enjoy throughout the day. There are a few bars in the area and some show films and television programmes. There is a nightclub with a variety of music and a number of pubs offering Greek music. There is little in the way of shops in Arillas, although you will find mini markets, souvenirs and beach supplies. Public transport in the resort is fairly limited with one bud travelling to Corfu Town. However, several others go to Aghios Stefanos.

Arillas - constant sunshine on the island

There are around 300 days of sunshine in the resorts of Arillas. Summer temperatures have been known to reach above 30°C, with the hottest month being July, closely followed by August. You will see around 13 hours of sunshine a day at peak times, with the temperatures remaining at a comfortable level thanks to the coastal breeze. December and January are colder, however temperatures are still at around 12-15°C. Rain only occurs in the winter months from November onwards. The summers in Arillas are long, hot and dry, with September and October still seeing temperatures of around 25°C. The sea temperatures are quite warm in the summer but will cool down at night. The north can be cooler than the south but it does not get cold.
