Corralejo Resort Guide

Corralejo - Located in the North of Fuerteventura

Couples, groups of friends and families are all suited to a holiday in Corralejo. There is an exciting nightlife, long, gorgeous beaches plenty of activities to keep you occupied all day long. Your transfer time is around 45 minutes so you can have a look at the rest of the island as you drive through it and get a good feel of your location. There are many apartments and aparthotels that are around 2-4-stars. The beach is the main focus of Corralejo. Everyone is drawn to the beach because of its fine, golden sand. The beach is 7 miles long in total and has light, turquoise waters, making it very appealing for people of all ages.

Corralejo – plenty to occupy you both day and night

Corralejo is home to some beautiful beaches meaning that there are many water sports for you to try. These include windsurfing, jet-skiing, paragliding, snorkelling and scuba diving. They are all very popular and the warm water temperatures means that they are possible all year long. If water sports do not interest you, then there are plenty of land activities to try, such as tennis, cycling, hiking and mountain biking. The Baku Water park is located in Corralejo and offers swimming pools, rides, slides and even golf. If you wanted to try excursions, then taking an island tour would be good. The tour takes you around Fuerteventura, showing you all of the cultural and historical sights as well as all of the beaches. If you wanted to get off of the island, then a ferry from Corralejo takes you to Lanzarote where you can shop, sunbathe or just explore.

Corralejo – plenty of places to go out and eat

There is a wide variety of places to eat and drink in Corralejo both day and night. You will find many different cuisines in the restaurants in the resort such as, Italian, Spanish, Chinese, Indian, English and American fast food restaurants. The nightlife in Corralejo is some of the best in Fuerteventura. There are many bars with live music, karaoke and cabaret. There are a few clubs with a variety of music and many bars with themes such as Irish bars. Many bars stay open until the early hours of the morning and you will find most of them along the seafront or in the square. The area is very lively and is well suited to young couples and groups. The town centre offers crafts, souvenirs, clothing and jewellery. There are also supermarkets should you need to get food and drink for your accommodation. The public transport in Corralejo is very good and reliable, with buses taking you into Puerto del Rosario and a small train taking you around the resort itself. You can also take day trips into Lanzarote for shopping, sunbathing and even more bars and restaurants.

Corralejo – slightly cooler than other resorts

As the resort is located in the north of the island, it is slightly cooler than the rest of the resorts. The weather in Corralejo is around 20°C on average and the water temperatures rarely drop below 17°C. The coldest months to visit Corralejo is between January and February and the warmest is August. There are winds blowing through Fuerteventura that keep the temperatures stable and keep the heat at a comfortable level. There is little rainfall in the resort, although in the winter months you may find some but this will dry up very quickly.
