Puerto de Soller - Located on the North West coast of Majorca

Puerto de Soller is a quiet resort in Majorca that is well suited to older couples who enjoy looking and landscapes and the scenery that the resort has to offer. Everyone is welcome, however there is little for children to do within the resort. The beach on resort is small and has few activities to offer, however it is perfect for lazing around. The accommodation in Puerto de Soller mainly consists of small hotels that offer various board basis. You will find that most of them have a 2-3-star rating. There are also a few apartments for people who wish to go self-catering.

Puerto de Soller – perfect for nature lovers

Puerto de Soller is a very scenic resort that is perfect for people wanting to go on long romantic walks or take in all of the scenery that surrounds them. The resort is so relaxed that there are not many activities available. Many of the activities tend to only be available in the summer months. These include the water sports where you can windsurf, go sailing, snorkelling or scuba diving. Puerto de Soller is surrounded by a mountainous landscape making it ideal for couples away on a a romantic break. There are excursions available to the nearby town of Soller, where you can also attend the market that is held on Saturdays. Other excursions include a day trip to Palma where you can shop, eat, drink and experience a completely different atmosphere.

Puerto de Soller – relaxing evenings by the sea

There are a few restaurants in the resort selling local cuisine as well as international cuisine, such as Italian, Chinese, English and Indian. There are a few bars offering live music and a disco in the resort, but nothing that stays open all night. The resort is very relaxed and perfect for people who like exploring in the day and really relaxing at night. Most entertainment is held in the hotels themselves. Public transport tends to be fairly good, with frequent buses to Soller and Palma. There are a few shops selling clothing, souvenirs and jewellery, although you can find more shops in other resorts.

Puerto de Soller – perfect weather to admire the local landscape

Puerto de Soller has very hot weather, especially during July and August. All the way between May and October is sunshine and its only from November to April that you may need a jacket in the evenings. It is also more likely to rain in the winter months so you may wish to wrap up warm. However, there is always sunshine at some stage during the day, and this is normally very warm. The temperatures are around 30C in the summer and rarely fall below 10C. The water temperatures tend to remain high, making the beach the perfect place to go and top up your tans and try some water sports.
