Port des Torrent - Perfect for those wanting to stay somewhere quiet

Holidays in Port des Torrent are famous for being on San Antonio Bay, yet the other side to the noisy San Antonio. Port des Torrent is the perfect destination for people wanting to enjoy the nightlife of San Antonio but wanting to stay somewhere slightly quieter. Couples and families are regularly seen in Port des Torrent as it is a convenient place for them to stay, especially with children.

Port des Torrent – plenty for everyone to do

Although Port des Torrent can be a fairly quiet resort, there are still plenty of activities for people to take part in during the day. The water in Port des Torrent is quite shallow so it is perfect for children and it is also quite warm, so it is perfect for water sports. The weather conditions are so good in Port des Torrent, that most water sports are permitted. These include windsurfing, para-gliding, scuba divin and snorkelling. Port des Torrent holidays are very popular as there is so much for you to take part in. You can go horse-riding, play golf, do some go-karting and even head into San Antonio for some bungee jumping and parascending. You can also head out of Playa den Bossa for a day trip to the Aguamar water park which is very popular amongst both adults and children. There is an Island coach tour as well as a chance to go on a glass-bottom boat, or even sail off into the sunset on one of the sea cruises.

Port des Torrent – ideally based for those visiting San Antonio at night

The public transport in Port des Torrent is brilliant. There are buses running throught the day and night, especially during the high season, that take you to and from San Antonio and Ibiza Town. There are occasionally boats during the high season that also take you into San Antonio. The bus that will take you to and from Port des Torrent and San Antonio throughtout the night is called the Disco Bus. The beach is Port des Torrent is fairly sheltered and quiet, making it perfect for families. Children are very safe on the beach and the shallow waters are yet another good thing.

Port des Torrent – brilliant summer sunshine

The weather in Port des Torrent is much like the rest of the island. In the summer it is brilliant with 12 hours of sunshine a day and with a sheltered beach, it is perfect for those who do not want to be exposed to too much sunlight. The water temperatures of the sea are around 27C in the summer making a day at the beach even more appealing. In the winter, there is obviously less sunlight, meaning the water temperatures are less, although this does not mean that you cant swim as the winters in Ibiza are still mild. It is advised to take a jacket out with you at night, but when the sun is out for during the day you will not need one as it can still get very hot.
