Palma is the capital of Majorca and is very well known for its culture and vibrant nightlife. You can see a lot of culture in the resort, with many of the museums filled with Spanish Art. There are a few myths and legends linked with Majorca. You can find these stories out in Palma in the museums and in some hotels. The public transport in Palma is very reliable and you will find that you can visit many of the other resorts in Majorca that are nearby. Although the resort is not as lively as nearby Palma Nova and Magaluf, it is still home to a wide selection of nightclubs. You will find various types of music, as well as live shows and you can dance all night long. There are a few street markets in Palma where you will find little crafts, produce, jewellery and clothing. There are plenty of places to eat and drink and there is definitely something to cater to everyone's tastes. You will find Japanese, Italian, Indian, Spanish, Mediterranean and English cuisines.
Palma - Perfect For Tourists
Palma has very hot weather, especially during July and August. All the way between May and October is sunshine and its only from November to April that you may need a jacket in the evenings. It is also more likely to rain in the winter months so you may wish to wrap up warm. However, there is always sunshine at some stage during the day, and this is normally very warm. The temperatures are around 30C in the summer and rarely fall below 10C. The water temperatures tend to remain high, making the beach the perfect place to go and top up your tans and try some water sports.
