Palma - Located on the South coast of Majorca

Palma is the capital of Majorca and is very well known for its culture and vibrant nightlife. Palma is very popular amongst the rich and famous, as well as being popular amongst families and couples as well as a few groups of singles. There are plenty of hotels to choose from which will cater to many budgets, so that everyone can experience the resort. There is a long promenade on the seafront, and the beach is very popular amongst all tourists. However, you will find that this does get very busy during the summer.

Palma – plenty to see and do

You will find many theatre shows, art galleries and exhibitions in Palma, showing you the cultural side to the resort. If you are looking for activities then you will find plenty in Palma. You can do many activities both on land and water. On water, you can try sailing, scuba diving, snorkelling and paragliding. If you prefer something on land, then you can try horse-riding, hand-gliding, trekking, cycling, caving and climbing as well as golf, which is very popular all over Majorca. You can see a lot of culture in the resort, with many of the museums filled with Spanish Art. There are five tours in the resort that enable you to find out the history and the culture of the resort, which many people find very interesting and beneficial. There are also many historical building for you to visit, which you may enjoy.

Palma – myths and legends

There are a few myths and legends linked with Majorca. You can find these stories out in Palma in the museums and in some hotels. The public transport in Palma is very reliable and you will find that you can visit many of the other resorts in Majorca that are nearby. Although the resort is not as lively as nearby Palma Nova and Magaluf, it is still home to a wide selection of nightclubs. You will find various types of music, as well as live shows and you can dance all night long. There are a few street markets in Palma where you will find little crafts, produce, jewellery and clothing. There are plenty of places to eat and drink and there is definitely something to cater to everyone\'s tastes. You will find Japanese, Italian, Indian, Spanish, Mediterranean and English cuisines.

Palma – perfect for tourists

Palma has very hot weather, especially during July and August. All the way between May and October is sunshine and its only from November to April that you may need a jacket in the evenings. It is also more likely to rain in the winter months so you may wish to wrap up warm. However, there is always sunshine at some stage during the day, and this is normally very warm. The temperatures are around 30C in the summer and rarely fall below 10C. The water temperatures tend to remain high, making the beach the perfect place to go and top up your tans and try some water sports.
